It is attached to the stem of an action verb or a descriptive verb to strongly express what the speaker wants.

If the stem of an action verb or a descriptive verb ends with a vowel or 'ㄹ', you should use '-면'. If it ends with another consonant, you should use '-으면'.

이번 학기에 네가 장학금을 받으면 소원이 없겠다.
I won't have any other wishes if you get a scholarship this semester.

나도 너처럼 한국어를 잘하면 소원이 없겠다.
I wish I could be good at Korean like you.

일주일만 경치 좋은 곳에서 쉬고 오면 소원이 없겠어요
I won't have any other wish if I can take a rest at a scenic spot just for a week.
