This expression is used to indicate the cause or reason for some situation or state of affairs. It is often used in formal situations, including written language, news reports, and presentations. The form (으)로 인해서 can be used without 서 and the form (으)로 인하여 is also used.
잦은 실수로 인해서 회사에서 신뢰를 잃었다.
He lost credibility at the company due to his frequent mistakes.

지나친 흡연으로 인해 폐암에 걸리는 사람들이 늘고 있습니다.
The number of people getting lung cancer due to excessive smoking is increasing.

인터넷으로 인하여 많은 정보를 쉽게 얻을수 있게 되었다.
Due to the Internet, it has become possible to easily obtain large amounts of information.

1. When this expression is used following a verb, the form -(으)ㅁ으로 인해서 is used.
해외로 사업을 확장함으로 인해서 돈이 더 많이 필요하게 되었다.
금값이 승함으로 인해 돌 반지를 선물하는 풍습이 사라지고 있다.

2. When this expression is used to modify a noun that follows it, the form (으)로 인한 is used.
겨울철에는 부주의로 인한 화재가 자주 발생합니다.
최근 10년 사이 교통사고로 인한 사망자가 5배나 증가했다고 합니다.

3. The 인해서 part of (으)로 인해서 can be omitted, leaving just (으)로 to express the same meaning.
• 전쟁으로 인해서 고아가 많이 생겼습니다.
= 전쟁으로 고아가 많이 생겼습니다.
