김민석 국무총리가 23일 중국 다롄의 방추이다오 호텔에서 리창 중국 국무원 총리와 회담을 하고 한중 전략적 협력 동반자 관계 강화와 경제협력 확대 방안을 논의했다.

Prime Minister Kim Min-seok on June 23 discussed with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Bangchui Island Hotel in Dalian, China, strengthening their bilateral strategic partnership and expanding economic cooperation.

양국 총리는 최근 열린 두 차례 한중 정상회담이 양국 관계 발전의 중요한 전기를 마련했다고 평가했다. 이에 따라 오는 11월 중국 선전에서 열리는 아시아태평양경제협력체(APEC) 정상회의를 계기로 고위급 교류를 이어가기로 했다.

The two men said the last two summits between their presidents created important momentum for the development of two-way ties. They accordingly agreed to continue high-level exchanges on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum scheduled for November in Shenzhen, China.

교역·첨단산업과 경제·민생 분야의 호혜적 협력도 전방위로 넓히기로 했다. 미래 한중 관계를 이끌어갈 청년 세대 간 교류도 활성화하자는 데 뜻을 모았다.

Both sides also pledged to comprehensively broaden mutually beneficial cooperation in a range of areas including trade, advanced industries, economy and the people's livelihoods as well as stimulate exchanges between their younger generations, who will lead the future of bilateral relations.

한반도 문제와 관련해 김 총리는 중국 측의 관심과 건설적인 역할을 당부했다. 양측은 역내 평화와 안정은 물론 글로벌 불확실성 대응을 위한 국제사회 공조의 중요성을 재확인했다.

Prime Minister Kim also requested that China show interest and play a constructive role in Korean Peninsula issues. The two officials reaffirmed the importance of global cooperation in confronting global uncertainty, as well as maintaining peace and stability in the region.
