한국에는 다양한 인터넷 동호회가 있으며 동호회마다 많은 회원을 가지고 있다. 실제 생활에서는 상상하기 어려운 모임도 많은데, 예를 들어 '귀사모'는 말 그대로 귀신을 사랑하는 사람들의 모임이고, '대머리 동호회'는 유사한 신체적 특징을 지닌 사람들의 모임이다. 음식을 소재로 한 모임도 많은데 '채식 사랑'이나 '라면 천국'이 그 예이다. 이 중 '라면 천국'은 회원 수가 4만 5천 명이나 되는 큰 카페다. 이러한 인터넷 동호회는 시간과 거리에 관계없이 만들어질 수 있으며 주제도 뭐든지 가능하다. 동호회를 유지하기 위한 규칙과 질서만 지킨다면 이러한 모임에서는 누구나 자유롭게 활동할 수 있다.
There are various online associations in Korea, and each association has many members. Some are related to things difficult to imagine in real life; for example, 'GuiSaMo' literally means an association of people who love ghosts ('guisin' in Korean is ghost.) Another example is 'Baldheaded Association which is a gathering of people with a similar physical trait. There are also many associations related to food, such as 'Vegetable Lovers' or 'Ramyeon Manias!. Ramyeon Manias is a giant online cafe with 45,000 members. These online associations can be created regardless of time and distance and any is possible. With an effort to maintain the association by following rules and orders, anyone can participate in it.
