 서울시의 버스는 네 종류가 있다. 이 버스들은 각각 운행하는 거리에 따라 파랑, 초록, 노랑, 빨강으로 구분하여 색 칠되어 있다. 그래서 시민들은 버스를 멀리서도 쉽게 알 수 있다. 파랑 버스는 간선 버스라고 하여 서울 시 내의 먼 거 리를 운행하고, 초록 버스는 지선 버스라고 하여 간선 버스와 지하철역을 연결해 주는 버스이다. 노랑 버스는 순환 버스라고 하여 시내에서 쇼핑이나 일을 보는 사람들이 비교적 짧은 거리를 다닐 때 이용하며, 빨강 버스는 광역 버스 라고 하여 수도권과 서울시 근처의 중소도시를 연결해 주는 버스이다.

버스 요금은 버스에 승차할 때 내는데 버스 요금은 동전이나 지폐, 교통 카드로 계산한다. 

There are four different kinds of buses in Seoul. These buses have different colors according to the distance they run blue, green, yellow, and red. Because of the different colors, people can recognize the buses even from the long distance. The blue bus is called the main line bus which operates the long distances in Seoul City. The green bus is called the branch line bus which connects the main line bus to the subway stations. The yellow bus is called the circulation line bus which is for those who take the bus for a short distance for shopping or taking care of other businesses in the city. The red bus is called the broad line bus which connects the downtown to other cities near Seoul.

The bus fare is paid when getting on the bus. It can be paid with coins, bills, or traffic card.
