In the old days, while it was still the Korean language, people used Chinese characters when they wrote. Therefore, in the year 1443, King Sejong invented the Korean alphabet, which anyone can learn and write easily. Hangul day is the day that commemorates the King Sejong's invention of the Korean alphabet.
