설 연휴 청와대 문화행사 - Cheong Wa Dae to host cultural events for Lunar New Year

설 연휴를 맞아 청와대가 다채로운 문화 행사로 관람객을 맞이한다. The former presidential compound of Cheong Wa Dae will host a series of events to mark the Seollal (Lunar New Year) holidays.

문화체육관광부(문체부)는 청와대재단(재단)과 함께 오는 9~11일 청와대 일원에서 ‘청와대, 용(龍)감한 설날’ 문화 행사를 진행한다고 5일 밝혔다.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Feb. 5 said that jointly with the Cheong Wa Dae Foundation, it will host events from Feb. 9-11 under the theme "Cheong Wa Dae: Brave Seollal." The name is a pun using yonggam, the Korean word for "brave," with yong meaning "dragon."

먼저 각 분야 전문가들이 참여해 청와대의 역사, 문화, 자연을 이야기하는 토크콘서트 ‘청와대, 용(龍)감한 이야기’가 매일 오후 2시 춘추관 2층에서 열린다.

Experts from a variety of fields will lecture on the compound's history, culture, and nature in the series "Cheong Wa Dae: Brave Stories." The talks are scheduled daily from 2 p.m. on the second floor of the former media center Chunchugwan.

9일 안창모 경기대학교 교수의 ‘청와대의 건축 이야기’, 10일 최태성 한국사 강사의 ‘청와대의 역사 이야기’, 11일 박상진 경북대학교 명예교수의 ‘청와대의 나무 이야기’를 통해 개방 2주년을 맞이한 청와대의 문화적 상징과 의미를 살펴본다.

Kyonggi University professor Ahn Chang-mo on Feb. 9 will give a lecture on Cheong Wa Dae's architecture, while Korean history lecturer Choi Tae-sung will give a presentation on the compound's history on Feb. 10.

Park Sang-jin, an honorary professor at Kyungpook National University, on Feb. 11 will speak on trees at Cheong Wa Dae and explain the cultural symbols and significance of the complex, which marks the second anniversary of its opening this year.

같은 기간 매일 오후 1시와 3시 춘추관 1층에서는 다례 행사인 ‘용(龍)감한 덕담 나누기’가 60분간 진행된다. 참가자들은 한국 전통 차 문화를 배우고 새해 덕담을 주고받을 수 있다.

Over the same period, an hourlong tea ceremony under the theme "Sharing Brave Wishes" will be held twice daily from Feb. 9-11 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the first floor of Chunchugwan. Participants will learn the nation's traditional tea culture and give Lunar New Year's wishes.

아울러 문체부와 재단은 청와대 대표 공간 사진으로 탁상 달력을 만들어 9일부터 12일까지 청와대 입장문에서 매일 관람객 400명에게 선착순으로 선물한다. 용띠 관람객은 대정원 종합안내소에서 신분증을 제시하면 매일 100명 선착순으로 달력을 받을 수 있다.

The ministry and the foundation each day from Feb. 9-12 will distribute free desk calendars containing photos of leading venues at Cheong Wa Dae on a first-come, first-served basis to 400 people.

Visitors born in the Year of the Dragon can receive a calendar if they present identification at the information desk of the garden Daejeongwon. This promotion is limited to 100 recipients per day while supplies last.

이번 설맞이 행사는 내외국인과 보호자 동반 어린이 등 누구나 참여 가능하다. 참여 신청은 청와대 개방 공식 누리집(https://xn--h49ar4kbriepk85h.kr)을 통해 할 수 있다.
