V+ 기란 쉬운 일이 아니다
It is used with an active verb stem. It is used to emphasize when the preceding clause describes a tough or difficult situation in lifestyle. It is used for ‘어렵다, 힘들다’ which could be used instead of ‘쉬운 일이 아니다’.

외국에서 혼자 살기란 쉬운 일이 아니에요.
It is not easy to live in foreign countries.

날마다 규칙적으로 생활하기란 힘든 일이에요.
It is very hard to keep the regular daily lifestyle day by day.

나쁜 버릇을 단시간 내에 고치기란 어려운 일이다.
It is very difficult to correct his bad habits in a short period of time.
