세계 최대 가전·정보통신(IT) 박람회 'CES(Consumer Electronics Show) 2024'가 9일(현지 시간) 미국 라스베이거스에서 개막한 가운데 한국 기업들이 다양한 신기술과 제품을 선보였다.
This year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest trade fair for household electronics and information and communications technology that kicked off on Jan. 9 in Las Vegas, is showcasing the latest in technology and high-tech products of Korean companies.
올해는 150개국 4000여 개의 기업이 참가했으며 한국에서는 삼성전자, LG전자, 현대자동차그룹, SK 등을 포함한 760여 개의 기업이 참가했다.
About 4,000 businesses from 150 countries are participating in CES 2024, with about 760 of them from Korea like Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and SK Telecom.
삼성전자는 2020년 처음 공개했던 인공지능(AI) 비서 '볼리'를 업그레이드해 다시 선보였다. 공 모양을 한 볼리는 자율 주행을 통해 사용자 주변 환경을 인식하고 음성 인식을 통해 명령을 수행한다. 세계 최초로 원·근접 투사가 모두 가능한 듀얼렌즈 기술 기반의 프로젝터를 탑재해 사용자가 원하는 공간 어디에든 필요한 콘텐츠를 최적화된 크기로 투사한다.
Samsung Electronics is displaying an upgrade of Ballie, a ball-shaped artificial intelligence (AI) home companion that debuted in 2020. Through self-mobility, it recognizes the surrounding environment of its user and carries out orders using voice recognition. Using the world's first projector based on dual lens technology enabling both far and close projection, the device projects necessary content wherever the user wants in optimized sizes.

LG전자는 세계 최초 무선 투명 올레드 TV인 'LG 시그니처 올레드 T'를 선보였다. 스크린 뒤 공간과 화면 속 컨텐츠가 함께 보이는 '투명모드'와 4K 올레드 TV 화질인 '블랙모드'를 제공한다. TV를 끄면 투명 화면 너머 공간이 보이는 게 특징이다. 무선 AV송∙수신 기술로 전원을 제외한 모든 선을 없애 사용자가 원하는 장소에 TV를 자유롭게 설치할 수 있도록 했다.
LG Electronics is showing its LG Signature OLED T, the world's first wireless transparent OLED TV. The screen's transparent mode allows users to see the space behind the screen and screen content at the same time and the black mode offers picture quality of 4K OLED TV.
The outstanding feature is the ability to see the space behind the TV after turning it off. Because the screen uses wireless audiovisual transmission and reception technology that eliminates all wires except the power cord, the TV can be installed in whatever place desired.

현대자동차그룹의 미래항공모빌리티(AAM) 독립 법인 슈퍼널은 2028년 AAM 상용화를 목표로 개발중인 전기 수직 이착륙기 'S-A2'의 실물 모형을 공개했다. 기체는 총 8개의 회전날개인 '로터'가 장착된 주 날개와 V자 꼬리 날개, 승객 탑승 공간으로 이뤄져 있다. 전장 10ｍ·전폭 15ｍ로 조종사를 포함 5명이 탑승 가능하다. 최대 400~500m의 고도에서 시속 200km로 비행하는 것을 목표로 개발 중이며 상용화 시 도심 내 약 60km 내외의 거리를 비행할 예정이다.
Supernal, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Group that makes advanced air mobility devices, showcased a full-scale model of the S-A2, an electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft that Supernal has developed with the goal of commercialization from 2028. The aircraft has main wings with eight small rotating wings called rotors, a V-shaped tail wing, and space for passengers to ride in.
At 10 m long and 15 m wide, the device can accommodate five people including the pilot. The company's goal is to make S-A2 fly at a maximum altitude of 400-500 m at 200 km per hour and travel a distance of about 60 km within a city after its commercialization.
이외에도 SK텔레콤은 AI 기반 실내외 유동인구 데이터 분석 시스템 '리트머스 플러스', 반려동물 AI 진단보조 서비스 '엑스칼리버' 등 핵심 AI 기술을 소개했다. 'CES 2024'는 12일까지 나흘간 열린다.
SK Telecom is highlighting its core AI-related know-how through the devices Litmus Plus, which analyzes data on floating populations both indoors and outdoors based on AI, and X Caliber, which helps diagnose a pet's health using AI. This year's CES runs for four days until Jan. 12.
