한국에 거주하는 외국인이나 다문화 가족을 대상으로 한 다양한 서비스가 다문화이주민센터(다문화 이주민플러스센터)로 통합된다. 다문화이주민플러스센터는 각 지자체와 법무부, 행정안전부, 고용노동부 등 각 부처에서 따로 제공하던 서비스를 통합하여 제공하는 복합 서비스 기관이다.
Various services targeting foreigners residing in Korea or multicultural families are integrated into the Multicultural Immigration Center (Multicultural Immigrant Plus Center). The Multicultural Immigrant Plus Center is a comprehensive service institution that consolidates services previously provided separately by each local government and ministries such as the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
다문화이주민플러스센터에서는 법무부의 외국인 등록과 체류 기간 연장, 고용노동부의 고용 허가는 물론이고 결혼 이민자를 대상으로 하는 여성가족부의 가족 상담, 방문 교육, 통역 서비스 등 국내 체류 외국인에게 필요한 행정 서비스를 모두 제공받을 수 있다.
